If you love the feel, control, and rich appearance of classic oil paints, and don’t want or like to use solvents, you’ll want to use DANIEL SMITH Water Soluble Oils. Vibrant, highly pigmented colors offer outstanding color strength even when mixed with Titanium White. All colors offer uniform drying times, buttery consistency, excellent brushing, and a beautiful surface appearance. Made in Seattle at the DANIEL SMITH manufacturing facility from the highest quality raw materials.

These Water Soluble Oil paints are made with the same pigments as the DANIEL SMITH Original Oil Colors, the only difference between the two oil paints is that DANIEL SMITH adds a modifier to the linseed oil (the binder for oil paints) that the Water Soluble Oils are made with. It is that special modified linseed oil that allows these oils to be water soluble!

The DANIEL SMITH Water Soluble Oils are Oil Paints, they have the same brush feel, they mix the same as regular oils and they have the same lovely linseed oil scent. Because they are oil paints, the DANIEL SMITH Water Soluble Oils can be mixed with regular oil paints, though they will lose their water solubility. This ability to mix with regular oils makes transitioning to Water Soluble Oils easy.

When painting, mixing, glazing etc. with the DANIEL SMITH Water Soluble Oil Colors you’ll want to use the DANIEL SMITH Water Soluble Oil Painting Mediums:

• Water Soluble Modified Linseed Oil.
• Water Soluble Fast Drying Linseed Oil.

These Water Soluble Mediums are all solvent free. After painting, brushes and palettes clean up easily with soap and warm water, no need for solvents!
