The CCA wiring (Copper Clad Aluminum) uses an aluminum conductor, a material less expensive than pure copper, coated with copper. In short what this means in terms of performance is that since CCA has a higher attenuation, there will be a lot higher chance of packet loss or data corruption at the physical layer.
