Active B12 1000 by Seeking Health offers a lower-dose alternative to our popular Active B12 5000. Active B12 1000 provides two active coenzyme forms of vitamin B12 in a lower dose of 1,000 mcg (1 mg) per lozenge. Each lozenge provides 1000 mcg of the active "coenzyme" forms of vitamin B12, methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin, without artificial flavors or colors.

As "coenzyme" forms, methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin are the forms required by certain B12-dependent enzymes and reactions within the body. Methylcobalamin supports the formation of healthy red blood cells, a healthy immune system, normal cognitive function, and homocysteine regulation.* Adenosylcobalamin is the mitochondrial form of B12 and supports energy metabolism and endurance levels.* It may be more difficult for certain individuals to synthesize the active forms of B12 from other dietary or supplemental forms such as cyanocobalamin.*

Vitamin B12 is naturally present in seafood, shellfish, liver, eggs and dairy products. It may be harder for vegetarians and vegans to meet their daily needs for vitamin B12 from food sources without relying on supplements or fortified foods.*

Key Benefits and Actions:

- May help support the normal conversion of homocysteine to methionine*

- May help support healthy methylation and metabolism*

- May help support cognitive health*

- May help support healthy energy levels*
