Sedum morganianum, also known as the donkey tail or a sedum burrito is one of the most popular trailing succulents. This soft succulent can grow stems over 12 inches covered with small, bead like light green leaves. This sedum originates in Veracruz Mexico and has several similar hybrid species. Fertilize in spring and summer months, avoid extreme temperatures and water sparingly. This trailing succulent will do well indoors or outdoors in bright light. When this plant is not getting enough light it will let you know by stretching. When spaces become noticeable between the round leaves your plant is not getting enough light. Gorgeous pink flowers emerge at the end of the plant stems in springtime however every plant is not guaranteed to bloom. Older, more mature plants tend to bloom compared to newly rooted plants. This delicate succulent is easy to propagate from cuttings or by leaf. This is a slow growing succulent and it can be easily overwatered. As with most succulents, water only when the soil is dry.
