A: 8 feet wood rack can hold about 1 face cord, 5 feet wood rack can hold about 1/2 face cord, 4 feet fire rack can hold about 1/4 face cords. It really depends on how your cord wood is cut.

Q: How far off the ground is the wood when stacked and is there a grade on the metal/steel frame?
A: Just eyeing it I would say its 9" off the ground when stacked.

Q: What are the dimensions (dia and thickness) of the tubes?
A: I bought one, I would have to cut one to see how thick they are inside, tubes are heavy duty about 1.2" outside diameter.

Q: What is the depth of the rack? My wood is 16" long?
A: The depth is 14" of the rack, sufficient to hold 16" or 18" pieces of wood.

Q: Is it reasonable to use this on the grass next to the house? Wondering if the tube feet will sink when the lawn is wet and all of the weight?
A: I'd suggest putting some paving stones or something solid under the feet.
