IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are using an iPhone with no 3.5mm jack (i.e., iPhone X), make sure that you are using the original Apple lightning to 3.5mm adapter (or an equivalent adapters that can be connected to a microphone). Most replacement lightning to 3.5mm adapters are not capable of connecting to a microphone. Similarly, if you are using an Android device with no 3.5mm jack, make sure that you are using a USB C to 3.5mm adapter that can be connected to a microphone.
