100% Acrylic Clear Roof Shingle Sealer is a premium quality acrylic emulsion clear sealer/finish that penetrates and bonds to a variety of roofing substrates, including asphalt shingles. It provides an attractive satin-gloss that resists dirt, cracking, chipping, mildew, algae, alkali, is non-yellowing, low VOC, and provides excellent product versatility and is easy to apply. SURFACE PREP: The entire surface area must be clean, dry, sound, and free from dirt, grease, oils, mildew, curing and release agents, efflorescence, and any other surface contaminants that may cause paint failure. For best results, pressure wash with a minimum 2000 psi pressure washer, or manually scrub substrate with a TSP or non-ammoniated detergent solution to remove contaminants. Repeat if surface contaminants remain. Remove any loose, chalked and peeling paint from previously painted surfaces by hand tool cleaning methods, such as hand scraping, sanding, wire brushing or by power tool cleaning methods, such as electric sanders, grinders, wire wheels, etc. Stir thoroughly and apply as it comes from the container.
