Why is this important? Odor is caused by bacteria eating, living and thriving in moist environment in your shoes, boxing gloves and gym bags. Activated charcoal is great at absorbing odors and yucky particles out of the air. Unfortunately, when their pores get clogged with moisture they become less effective at absorbing odors until the pores dry out.
