The metal case was originally designed to be able to fit the entire collapsible metal reusable straw with the cleaning brush stored inside the straw and the silicone tip attached to it. However, while we were using it we found out that there were two reasons that we should store the silicone tip separately.1. The cleaning brush itself is slightly longer than the metal straw while both being collapsed, when we store the cleaning brush inside the metal straw we could always see that one side of the cleaning brush is being revealed, either the tip or the bottom, but if the silicone tip is attached to the metal straw, we could no longer see the cleaning brush when it is hidden inside the metal straw, that could cause some serious dangerous situation, one could open the metal case, taking out the metal straw and easily forget about the cleaning brush that is hidden inside, intake the cleaning brush by accident. Once we realized this issue we immediately redesigned the metal case, we would never hand any products that may cause dangerous situation to our customers.
2.The second issue we realized is that after we cleaned the metal straw, we put it back into the metal case, but some water got into the narrow slit, this may cause bacteria to grow, which is not healthy. Due to the two reasons above we redesigned the metal case to a smaller size, so it would not fit the silicone tip, we wanted to keep our customers away from dangerous situations and being health all the time.
