Battery packs consist of many Lithium-ion cells that are assembled into a pack. Lithium-ion cells are made in various sizes, often assembled into packs for portable equipment. Many battery packs also include an internal protection circuit to prevent over-discharge and short-circuit damage. This can increase their physical length of the Lithium-ion battery pack.
